Traditional Games Training at Mildura July 4

Learn about and play traditional Indigenous Games

July 4 - 10.00am – 3.00pm at the Mildura Basketball Stadium.
Students Years 10, 11 and 12.

The training will take place from 10.00am – 11.00am.
The MDAS School Holiday  program will follow which will give the youth the opportunity to deliver the games they have learnt.
Other activities on the day include Dance, Cultural Activities, Basketball and an opportunity to meet World Ju jitsu Champion, Shantelle Thompson.
It is hoped that this will create a group of Young Leaders in the community who are familiar with the Traditional Games found in Yulunga.  This is a collection of Traditional Indigenous Games released by the Australian Sports Commission. (https://www.sportaus.gov.au/yulunga)
These young people will then be equipped to deliver the games in their own schools and may be invited to deliver the games in other schools during NAIDOC.
Registrations are essential through Vanessa Dyke (vdyke@mdas.org.au) or Sharni Karpany (skarpany@mdas.org.au)
