Job Description:
A MDAS Multi-Support Worker Level 2 is a part time appointment to undertake a range of duties in positions on a roster and/or relief basis. Duties will include working across a range of units and may include:
  • The Support Worker WHC is a live-in position at Wiimpatja Healing Centre for the days that the position is rostered to work. Under the direction of the Team Leader, the Support Worker WHC will interact constructively with clients to facilitate the delivery of quality services in a culturally appropriate manner to create an environment where clients can bring about positive changes and improvements to their life’s circumstances.
  • Residential Care Support Workers are primarily responsible for providing quality therapeutic care using a therapeutic 24/7 residential framework towards children and young people in residential care in line with the organisations Out of Home Care/Residential Care Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • The Casual Shift Worker is the key shift supervisor responsible for monitoring of the Meminar Ngangg Gimba (MNG) site to ensure the safety and security of residents and fellow staff.
Duties will include;
• Providing a range of supports to families of Meminar Ngangg Gimba who are case managed clients of MNG and/or Residents of MNG to increase self-determination and independence
• Undertaking age appropriate children and family activities to promote family wellbeing
• Co-ordinating the preparation of units for new residents (maintenance and restocking)
• Receiving and undertaking assessment and referral for the crisis accommodation unit
• A variety of administration duties
  • Customer Service Officers will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as allocating appointments for clients, referring inquiries on to the appropriate service/people, maintaining records, accurately recording and forwarding messages and the completion of Emergency relief/Intake and Assessment forms and scheduling transport pickups.
  • Medical Receptionists will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as allocating appointments for patients/clients, referring inquiries on to the appropriate service/people, maintaining patient records, accurately recording and forwarding messages and scheduling transport pickups. In addition, Medical Receptionists may be required to relieve other areas of the organisation depending on staffing requirements.
