Job Description:
The role of the Residential Care Worker (Casual) is to support the healing and recovery of Aboriginal young people residing in the Residential Care Facility. The Residential Care Workers are required to implement a variety of therapeutic and cultural groups/interventions to support young people to build positive relationships. The Residential Care Workers are required to promote and maintain a safe and supportive environment, in line with the MDAS Therapeutic Residential Care Framework, that provides the young person with structure and encourages them to learn and practice new skills and behaviours. Participation in shift work and all aspects of the program's timetable is a key responsibility.
