MDAS offers the Home and Community Care Program to support Elders and people with a disability.
The program supports Elders, and younger people with disabilities, who are at risk of being placed prematurely into residential care, to remain in their own homes.
Our aim is to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people live as independently as possible with a focus on working with you to perform daily tasks, rather than doing it for you.
It is about building on your strengths and abilities to help you remain living independently and safely at home.
The support services we may provide include:
Domestic assistance (home help or housekeeping)
Personal care
Allied Health (Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Dietetics)
